Timber is a tree-felling business run by Trevor, the Timber Feller, in the Madoc and Ottawa areas of Ontario. This page explains what information Timber collects and how it is used.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it has no forms. If you play the embedded YouTube video, YouTube may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.

When you contact Timber

When you text, call or email, Timber keeps your name, phone number or email address, the property address and the photos you send, so it can give you an estimate, a quote and an invoice, and keep the business records the law requires. This information is never sold or shared, except with the local clean-up vendor for your job when the quote includes clean-up. You can ask Timber to correct or delete your information at any time.

Timber sends marketing messages only to people who have asked for them, and you can reply STOP at any time.

The Timber Feller Assistant app (Google)

Timber uses a small private app, the Timber Feller Assistant, signed in only to Timber's own Google account. With that account's permission it:

• uploads videos to and manages the Timber Feller YouTube channel, and reads the channel's own view and subscriber statistics (YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API);
• reads video clips and photos from Timber's own Google Drive folders and saves finished videos back to them (Google Drive API).

The app does not access anyone else's YouTube or Google account, and the data it reads is used only to run Timber's own channel. That data is not sold, shared or used for advertising. The app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube use is also covered by the YouTube Terms of Service. Access can be removed at any time from the Google account's security settings.
